We take a look at ten countries with the most data centers. There are over 7.2 million data centers worldwide. The Data center industry is continuously growing and functions in many parts of the business, including networking, data backup, website hosting, security, and email management.

United State: The U.S. has the most data centers in the world. The country has 2751 in total. The top centres are CenturyLink, Digital Realty, AT&T, Verizon, and Equinix.

Germany: Across Germany, there are around 484 data centers. Data centers in Germany are spread across 42 locations, and over 50 centres are based in Falkenstein. Some of Germany’s data centers are GTT Communications, euNetworks, CenturyLink, and Colt Technology Services.

United Kingdom: The U.K. houses 458 data centers, 70 based in the country’s capital city, London. Some of the biggest centres in the U.K. are The GTP 3 Data Centre, Next Generation Data Centre, KAO Data Campus, Telehouse North, and VIRTUS Data Centre. 

China: China is home to 447 data centres. Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong hold most of the Chinese. The most critical data centers in the country are SH1, Colt Hong Kong HKDC1, BJ1, AirTrunk Hong Kong HKG1, and advantage TKO MEGA Plus. The most extensive data center in China is over 900 square feet.

Canada: there are a total of 324 data centers. Around 110 of these data centres are located in Toronto, and about 50 are based in Montreal. The top data centers in Canada are Optum, Cologix, Rogers Communications, TNW Networks, and Bell.

Netherlands: In the Netherlands, there are 280 data centres across the country. The top data centers within the Netherlands are Interxion, KPN, Cellnex Telecom, Equinix, and NorthC Datacentres. 

Australia: There are about 272 in Australia. In Australia, there are over 20.31 million internet users. The most important data centres are Telstra, AAPT, Equinix, Vocus Communications, and NEXTDC. 

Russia: Russia is home to 166 data centres spread across the country. Most data centers are located in the city of Moscow. Russia’s most important centres are Selectel, Datahouse, Rostelecom, RTCOMM, and Data Harbour. 

France: France houses 263 data centres, which are located in Paris and Lille. 4.6% of France’s GDP comes from the digital economy. The top data centrer in France are Cogent Communications, IBM, Interxion, Colt Technology Services, and CentreServ.

Japan: Japan has 207 data centres in total. Over half of the data centers in Japan are located in the city of Tokyo. The country has over 120 million internet users using the data center.

The neighboring country India is at the fifteen positions on the list. There are 172 data centers in the country.

Bangladesh ranks 73rd on the list. There are 6 data centers in Bangladesh, five of which are in Dhaka. The other is in the port city of Chittagong. Of these, at most, three are owned by an organization called Dhaka Colo. Colo. City, Devo Tech, and Zion BD each have one data center. Among these, Devo Tech also acts as a cloud service provider.
